Deli Star Corporation has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager. For more than thirty years, Deli Star Corporation has provided high quality cooked meats to the foodservice and food processing industries. Deli Star's comprehensive line of meat products are produced at the state-of-the-art meat processing facility located in Fayetteville, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.

Operational Integrity
• Maintain efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Preserve assets by implementing and maintaining preventative control.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
• Administer e-mail domain, file management systems, and antivirus systems.
• Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
• Monitor systematic backups for entire IT infrastructure.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking new and emerging practices.

User support
• Manage hardware such as smartphones and tablets, desktops, or notebooks.
• Work closely with end-users to offer training, solutions and troubleshooting.
• Provide telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
• Identify and procure the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
• Complete projects by coordinating resources, goals, and timelines across multiple departments.
• Ability to customize software and hardware systems with support of contract developers and/or IT support.
• Work with software developers to ensure end-user and company needs are met.
• Coordinate activities with network services and information systems groups.
• Proven experience designing and implementing training systems to support companywide IT system.

User support
• Manage hardware such as smartphones and tablets, desktops, or notebooks.
• Work closely with end-users to offer training, solutions and troubleshooting.

• Coordinate activities with network services and information systems groups.
• Proven experience designing and implementing training systems to support companywide IT system.

Technology planning and installation
• Strong familiarity with common software packages such as operating systems, specialized software, networking components and office applications.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware solutions as part of continuous improvement plan.
• Control central file sharing systems and upgrades.
• Good business sense and ability to recognize requirements and relate to systematic IT plan.
• Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
• Able to prepare technology plans and budgets.
• Research and procure computer accessories and supplies.
• Install necessary hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on users’ premises.

Manufacturing Systems
• Familiar with hardware commonly used in manufacturing environment - barcode scanners, label printers, scales, scale software, machine UIs, etc.
• Able to solve issues in fast moving environment
• Collaborate across all departments on continuous improvement projects specific to hardware and software upgrades necessary to support growth.
• Utilize understanding of food company's manufacturing process and how it relates to IT systems to effectively maintain and implement hardware and software systems.
• In charge of internal labeling systems.

• Use knowledge of IT systems to support event planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of IT work experience, with at least two (2) years of project management experience.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Experience with technologies and equipment relevant to food and beverage industry is a plus.
• Strong project management skills.
• PC application knowledge; including Microsoft Office.
• Motivated self-starter with strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service qualities.
